“It’s nice to be healthy,” Woods told the New York Times. “I was struggling there for a while.”

“I enjoy being there. … That’s why I work my tail off and lift all those weights, hit all those balls, and spend those countless hours out there—to be in that position,” Woods said.

He finished with 1-under 71.

Steve Stricker came closest to Woods, but only made pars on the last five holes. Woods beat Stricker by two shots. Stricker had spent 45 minutes working with Woods before the tournament helping Woods with his putting posture, according to a PGA report.

“He’s a good friend. We talk a lot about putting. It’s good to see him playing well,” Stricker said after the tournament, reported the PGA.

Mike Walker, senior editor, Golf Magazine said "Tiger Woods won the WGC-Cadillac Championship in vintage fashion this week (despite a shaky 18th hole), finishing at 19-under for a two-stroke victory. Over the past year and a half, Tiger has had several flashes of his pre-Thanksgiving 2009 brilliance. What if anything is different about his performance this week?"

While Jeff Ritter, senior producer at Golf.com said "Three things: First, his putting was the best it's been since his last major in '08. Next, the TV broadcast showed a stat on Saturday about how Tiger is in the top 10 in left-rough avoidance off the tee this season, while in the past few years, he was ranked well into the 100s. In other words, he's successfully eliminating the left rough off the tee again. And finally, I swear his red shirt was brighter this week than it used it be."

Graeme McDowell, who was paired with Woods, started out confident in his ability to challenge woods for first place, and rightly so, reports the New York Times.

At the 2010 World Challenge, McDowell faced the same deficit he did at the beginning of Sunday’s tournament, but had come out on top.

Jim Gorant, senior editor, Sports Illustrated: The putting seemed to be at another "old Tiger" level, and to a lesser extent the swagger.

Mark Godich, senior editor, Sports Illustrated: Plain and simple, Tiger made more putts than anyone else. I'm sure he wishes he could bottle some of those 10-footers for Augusta National.
